The Archer book review

Image
The Archer This is my second encounter with Coelho, the first having been The alchemist, which was, for me , overhyped and underwhelming. The Archer ,then, was a pleasant read for me that felt much more grounded, It uses archery as a essence for life, examining each aspect of the art and framed by the story of an undercover expert archer speaking about the art to a curious child. Coelho's The Archer is optimistic but also realistic and seeks to remind readers what they have control over and what they do not. The illustrations by Christopher Neimann are beautiful.  They are simple and aesthetically pleasing. They do in fact add to the story  It was a good one hour read!.

The Alchemist "when you really want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it" This book has crossed the boundaries of books, and has taken a life of its own, creating a movement all around the globe. Santiago's journey and spiritual quest, the people he meets, the dreams he has, the omens he encounters, and the nature he speaks to, are all things that we can relate to..things that we've either forgotten about or simply dismissed as childhood fantasies. It is all about finding your Personal Legend and pursuing your dream regardless of any hurdles, and about being spiritually connected to the universe, which is part of us, and part of God. we are all one. Reading this book always sets me back on the right path towards achieving the dreams I have put on hold. We always try to do what everyone expects of us like pursuing a career that you hate just because that is what everyone does. Recognizing my personal legend, being able to tal

We all need a ikigai in our lifes

Ikigai : the Japanese secret to a long and happy life If ever there was a book to help you step back, slow down and contemplate on the meaning of life, this would be it. The pace is unhurried and that is exactly how you should read the book. Not in a single sitting but over a week or ten days. Savour each chapter, make notes, write things down when they touch a chord. Ikigai helps you understand so many beautiful things in the sheer simplicity in which it's conveyed. In an increasingly cynical world, we all need ikigai Rating: 5/5 I hope you all will find it helpful

Why everyone should read death on the Nile

Death on the Nile book review An old favourite revisited, Agatha Christie never fails to suck the reader in. Superbly plotted, Death On The Nile is full of intrigue, and you find yourself turning pages long into the night. Few author's today can match the Queen of Crime. Highly recommended 4 out of 5 stars
